New OMOC node Release (v.1.3.7.0)

:megaphone: Important announcement: New OMOC node Release (v.1.3.7.0)

A new release of decentralized oracles node is available.

:warning: It is very important to be operating with the latest version.
:megaphone: We call on all node operators to update.

This is the instructive on how to update your node.
It is a very simple procedure to follow that will only take a few minutes.

This release has improvements related to gas consumption and the calculation of the gas price that generate cost savings in price publications.

Hi there,

Where can I find out more about the stats of the oMoC nodes?
I’d like to figure out how economically viable it might be to run a node and provide price data.
I understand it requires 25,000 MoC tokens. What is not clear, is what the rewards are. And how these rewards are split among node operators, how many node operators there are, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Lance

Hi Lance, how’re you doing?

To run an OMOC oracle, you need a minimum of 250k MOC tokens.
I say a minimum because there is a limited number of oracles that can compete to publish prices; nowadays, this number is 10.

Here you have a list of active oracles:

And here is a blog post explaining how oracles work MOC Decentralized Oracles - Money On Chain

I already asked the team for more stats on oracles, I’ll let you know.

Max

Hi Max,

Thanks for the correction and the explanation.
I look forward to any more details about the oracle stats.

Regards,
Lance
