# What to do if the Free Redemption rate is too high?

If the Free Redemption rate is at high levels:

and you’re in a hurry to redeem your DOCs, the best thing you can do is to use [Money on Chain’s TEX](https://tex.moneyonchain.com) to trade your DOCs for RBTC.

Otherwise, you can actually redeem your DOCs without paying for the Free Redemption rate at the time of the Settlement. You can cue your DOCs for redemption for free by clicking [here](https://alpha.moneyonchain.com/settlement)

#### Why does this happen?

Because there’s a lot of demand for BTCX at the moment. And with a high demand like this, there are less and less tokens availables, thus the Free Redemption rate goes higher.
